Finishes of 18th and 17th in the opening two events were certainly not characteristic results for the Phelps Cement Products no. 3. However, Saturday May, 17 on Race against Drugs/Fireman Appreciation Night at the Races, Haers used his front row starting position to his advantage leading all 35-laps on the way to victory.
