CENTRAL NEW YORK RACING STAR MIKE WELCH AND ORIGINAL PIZZA LOGS TEAM UP FOR 2010 ASSAULT
Veteran racer Mike Welch will enter the 2010 season looking to add another incredible year to his already star studded career.
Welch, 44 of Lyons, New York has recently announced that Bob Cordova of Original Pizza Logs will come on board as a sponsor for the upcoming season as Welch looks to improve his already impressive career record.
"It's awesome," said Welch, who announced the deal complete earlier this afternoon (Thursday, January 21) with enthusiasm. "It's a big opportunity for me. I know that Bob gives a lot of support to several other drivers in the region. I want to go out on the track every night representing Original Pizza Logs with professionalism."
Ransomville Speedway 358 Modified star Todd Burley, Sportsman driver Jipp Ortiz, Modified sensation Erick Rudolph and Micro Sprint star Tyler Walker are just a few of the drivers that Bob Cordova and Original Pizza Logs supports on the race track.
Welch is a six time Canandaigua Street Stock Champion winning the title in 2009, 2008, 2007, 2005, 2004 and 2003. He is also the 2008 and 2009 Parts Plus Big Six Street Stock Series Champion. He is also the 2008 UMP New York State DIRTcar Champio. MIke also has 48 wins at Canandaigua has also won feature event at Rolling Wheels Raceway, Cayuga County Fair Speedway, Black Rock Speedway and Fulton Speedway.
In 2010, Mike will be extremely busy from behind the wheel of his 2010 Impala SS Body built by EMS with power from Sonny Barron.
He will compete in all racing event at Canandaigua Speedway, Rolling Wheels Raceway, Cayuga County Fair Speedway and the six race Parts Plus Mr. DIRTcar Championship Stock Car Series, presented by Wix Filters. He will also run special events at Black Rock Speedway and Can-Am International Speedway.
Mike's biggest are his mom Jean and his three children, Nathan 19, Alicia 17 and Seth 15.
