BENEFIT FOR DRIVER TROY GRIFFIN SET FOR JUNE 25

A fund-raiser for former DIRT driver Troy Griffin has been set for June 25 at the Shortsville Rod & Gun Club on Freshour Road in Shortsville, New York.

Beginning at 4 p.m. that Friday afternoon, the menu of food and drink, music and fun shared with lots of friends will be highlighted by a savory pig roast that will be served throughout the evening.

Griffin was a regular competitor at Canandaigua Speedway sporting his no. 114 entries in both full-fender and open-wheel classes. The popular Shortsville pilot posted seven Street Stock feature wins from 1987-89 and captured three more checkered flags in the Sportsman ranks from 1990-93.

To purchase $10 tickets for this special event, friends of racing are encouraged to contact Leslie (585/396-1827) and make plans to attend. All proceeds will go to benefit Griffin as he continues in his fight to overcome Lou Gehrig's Disease.
