CANANDAIGUA SPEEDWAY MANAGEMENT TEAM PREPS FOR '05 CAMPAIGN CANANDAIGUA, NY.....The opening of Canandaigua Speedway in 2005 will mark the 29th consecutive season of operation under the DIRT MotorSports banner. The mighty Advance Auto Parts big-block DIRT Modifieds will continue to headline the four-star Canandaigua card, with Randy's Smoke Shop 358-Modified (combined with big-blocks), Pizza Logs Sportsman, JoshComp Pro Stock and Parts Plus Auto Stores Street Stock divisions once again filling the weekly Saturday program. "Since DIRT MotorSports took over the organization last summer we've continued to build for the future," said Canandaigua Speedway General Manager Jeff Farney, who begins his fourth full year guiding the trackside activity. "We've outlined a number of improvements for the speedway and our tower project is fully underway. 2005 should be another exciting season for both the fans and competitors alike." The 2005 Canandaigua Speedway season-opener has already been tentatively set for Sat., April 23 with practice penciled in Wed., April 20. Both the April 23 and April 30 shows are slated to begin in the afternoon with heat race qualifiers starting at 4 p.m. Steve Paine (Mod), Scott Boudinot (358), Eldon Payne,Jr. (Spt), Jipp Ortiz (Pro) and Mike Welch (Sts) claimed track championships in 2004. One of the best values in DIRT MotorSports today remains a special night in the VIP Tower at Canandaigua Speedway. With many of the past sponsors already renewing for the upcoming season, only a handful of dates remain open for corporate representatives to reserve their night in the trackside VIP rooms for 2005. Securing tower passes gives individuals the opportunity to experience the heart-pounding thrills and excitement of side-by-side race action at the 'Land of Legends' while enjoying all the comfort and convenience of an enclosed, air-conditioned private spectator room that offers unlimited food and beverages. These special VIP Passes also entitle tower guests optional access to the pit area. Canandaigua Speedway is located at the Ontario County Fairgrounds on Town Line Road two miles north of routes 5&20 on the east side of the city of Canandaigua. The track is easily accessed from the New York State Thruway exit 43 from the east or exit 44 from the west. For additional information, visit the track website at canandaiguaspeedway.com or contact Jeff Farney by both phone (315/730-1697) and e-mail ([email protected]). Boundless Motor Sports Racing, Inc.
