WEATHER EFFECTS CANANDAIGUA SPEEDWAY FOR SECOND WEEK IN A ROW
CANANDAIGUA, NY...In May of 1996 was the last time that Canandaigua Speedway lost two complete weekend racing programs in a row. That same thing came to pass this past weekend when track officials were forced to cancel their second show in a row due to heavy rains in the area.
"We haven't been able to run in two weeks," stated general manager Jeff Farney. "I say we have a second 'Grand Opening' for 2003 this coming weekend. We expect, with a little help from Mother Nature, to have our new scoreboard completed and in place. I expect the fans and teams to be ready to race again."
It will be Canandaigua Window Cleaning Plus and Castle Car Care Products night this Saturday, June 7, featuring a regular Four Star show; DIRT Modifieds/358-Modifieds, Sportsman, Pro Stocks and Street Stocks.
