CANANDAIGUA SPEEDWAY STARTS KIDS CLUB
Canandaigua, New York- Starting this season, Canandaigua will be forming a special "Canandaigua Kids Crew" Fan Club. Membership is open to all children under 15 years old and costs only $5.00. Members will receive a membership card, a club t-shirt, and coupons good for free food at the track.
By joining, children will also be eligible to participate in drawings held at the speedway. They will be for the chance to ride in the pace truck and to be the special flagger for a heat. Other activities include a private autograph session with some of the hottest drivers on DIRT and a special "Members Only" party with games and prizes. These are just a few of the many exciting activities that will be run this season!
There will be a sign-up table next to the fried dough stand in the concession area starting on May 25th. Stop by this Saturday to fill out the membership form. You can register between 6:00 and 7:00 this Saturday, June 1st, and June 8th, June 15th.
Canandaigua Speedway is located at the Ontario County Fairgrounds on Town Line Road two miles north of routes 5&20 on the east side of the city of Canandaigua. The track is easily accessed from the New York State Thruway exit 43 from the east or exit 44 from the west. For more information, stop by the sign-up table on Saturday.
Land of Legends Kids Club Information
-Registration Fee is $5 (Registration ends on June 15th)
-Age Group: All children under 15 years old
-Member will receive a membership card, coupons for 4 items at the track (hot dog, French fry, popcorn, or pop), a Kids Club t-shirt (which will be distributed on June 29th), and the opportunity to participate in the following events:
(1.) Saturday, June 22. Kids Club members will, during an intermission, ride on the “Fun Bus” and take a tour of the pits. Also, the names of two children will be drawn to take a ride in the pace truck with their driver of choice.
(2.) Saturday, July 6. Names will be drawn to be given the chance to flag a heat race.
(3.) Saturday, July 20. Members can participate in a special autograph session in the pit area.
(4.) Saturday, August 3. All members will participate in a Members Only Kids Club party. Details to come.
(5.) Saturday, August 17. One lucky member will be able to help announce a heat race with the track announcers.
Tentative Additional Activities Include:
(1.) The Kids Club will sponsor a coloring contest for all youngsters up to age 15, and a poster contest for fans 16 and older.
