Lurking in his shadow are May winners to date Steve Paine and Charlie Donk along with Big-Block rookie of the year contender Russ Hefti, with Paine setting course for a DIRT NorthEast record mark of eight straight track point championships.

2006 Sportsman champion Todd Henderson is also looking to defending his track title at the Routes 5&20 oval. The season-opener victor holds a comfortable advantage over recent winner Dan Wiesner with the top-six in division points utilizing crate motors.

Reigning Street Stock track champion Blane Smith (1 win) is back on top of the points chart yet just two markers separate him from three-time (2003-05) Canandaigua points king Mike Welch. Rod Comfort Jr. finally entered his name in the Fairgrounds record book and his first career win vaulted him past three-time top-three finisher Les Excell and into the early points lead in entry level PureStox competition.
